14.9.2009: Jan Lucht (Internutrition) comments on the Working document «Agronomic consequences of the use of GM crops. Part 1: arable crops». He points out some inconsistencies between section 3.4 and 4.1 regarding the use of fungicides in GM potatoes. Download full comment
16.9.2009: Bernhard Speiser (FiBL) replies: The inconsistency detected by Jan Lucht is a mistake by the editors of the document. We have now posted a revised version of the document, where the text in section 3.4 is adjusted to the fungicide use strategy proposed in section 4.1. We apologize for this, and thank Jan Lucht for his contribution! We would like to draw the attention of readers with special interest in this subject to the «Special Issue: Late Blight and Genetic Modification» of the Journal Potato Research (Volume 51, Number 1, March 2008).
